Discover the 2021 Book of the Year

This year, the Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation State Women’s Leadership Committee selected Full of Beans: Henry Ford Grows a Car by Peggy Thomas and illustrated by Edwin Fotheringham as its 2021 Book of the Year. The book shares how Henry Ford and his team of scientists discovered that soybeans could be used to make different products, like paint, plastic, fabric and food. 

The MFBF State Women’s Leadership Committee sponsors a Book of the Year and teaches activities corresponding to the book in classrooms throughout the state each year.

Individuals can also contact their county Farm Bureau office for more information. The cost of the hardcover book and book educator guide is $20.
