Tammy began working for Mississippi Farm Bureau Casualty Insurance Company in the underwriting department in December 1986. In 2010, she moved to the public policy department of the Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation. When Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation President Mike McCormick was elected in 2014, Tammy became his executive assistant.
Tammy’s main duties revolve around assisting McCormick. She is charged with keeping his calendar and making sure he stays on schedule. In addition, she assists with numerous other tasks, including event planning for the state office. In this role, Tammy has the opportunity to build relationships with members.
“I love working with the members and building lifelong friendships with them,” Tammy says. “Over the years, they have become more like family.”
Tammy likes to spend as much time with her family as possible, especially her two children, Chad and Tiffany. In her free time, she enjoys watching football.
